Our story

Waterborne Coffee Co. was built around two things that have shaped our lives for years: great coffee and time near the water.

Founded by Emily, Jason, and Matt - Waterborne grew out of a shared appreciation for the way both coffee and water create space - to connect, to reset, to fuel what’s next. Our relationship with the water looks different for each of us. Matt and Jason love to get in it, chase it, ride it, and explore it. Emily is drawn to the calm it brings, the rhythm of the tide, and the grounding peace of simply being near it. Different relationships, same deep respect for what it gives us.

When the opportunity came to create a new shop and this space became available, the idea of “one day” finally turned into now. The concept for Waterborne clicked immediately — a space designed with intention, built around good coffee, good people, and the simple moments that make a day better.

With Emily’s design intuition and eye for creating spaces that feel inviting, combined with Jason and Matt’s creativity, vision, and amazing hands-on craftsmanship - Waterborne moved from idea to reality. What started as a long-held dream became something tangible — a place created to serve the community that’s supported us for years.

Waterborne Coffee Co. exists because we believe in gathering community and that the best places are built to be in lived in - not rushed through.
